This bottle represents the second plenitude of an exceptional year in Champagne. The 2008 growing season was cool and slow, allowing grapes to ripen gradually and retain striking acidity, a foundation for one of the most precise and age-worthy Dom Pérignon vintages ever.
After extended aging on the lees, P2 2008 reveals a deeper, more expansive expression. The nose is complex and layered, opening with citrus zest, green apple, and white flowers, followed by toasted brioche, almond, smoke, and subtle spice.
On the palate, it is intense yet impeccably controlled: vibrant freshness meets a broad, silky texture. Flavors of lemon, stone fruit, and chalky minerality unfold into savory notes of toast and umami, finishing long, saline, and resonant. Powerful, refined, and luminous, P2 2008 shows Dom Pérignon at its most evolved and profound.
